Book Stacks Unlimited
An on-line book retailer, Book Stacks carries over 425,000 titles which can normally be purchased at 15% off the cover price. This site also features audio clips of authors reading their own work, and biographical data and interviews with many contemporary writers.
BookWeb
Hosted by the American Booksellers Association, this site features a searchable database of bookstores across the country, the latest news in the literature world, and "LiveChats" with authors.
Library of Congress
For the casual visitor, the LOC's website offers a monthly showcase of works from their digital collection, as well as information on exhibitions and special programs & services. For the student or reasearcher, this site features a very useful search engine to locate entries in the catalog, and provides links to access other databases.

Riddler.com
An extensive on-line games site, you can play everything from solitaire to a variety of trivia games--all for free.
Pop Rocket
The home of interactive, on-line Sockwave games, this site offers a variety of original and Total Distortion-based games. You can also enter contests, download game videos and get the latest plug-ins.
Sega
An excellent and extensive site sure to please any Sega gamer, you can download free demos, hints, screen savers and videos, as well as get all the latest news about Sega, its systems and its games.
Nintendo
Nintendo's website offers, among other things, interviews with game designers, information on upcoming releases and phone numbers to call for hints and tips.
Total Entertainment Network
This site allows you to play some of the hottest home computer games--Duke Nukem 3D, Red Alert and Quake, among others--on-line and with multiple players. While you're here, you can also take advntage of player chat rooms, enter tournaments and view game rankings to see how you stack up to the cyber competition.

MovieLink
The premiere site on the Web for current movies, MovieLink features up-to-date showtimes for almost every theatre in the country, and gives you the option to purchase tickets on-line for selected theatres. You can get a synopsis and reviews of every currently playing movie, download Quicktime, .AVI or MPEG trailers for each film, or view promotional pictures and posters.
Dolby Laboratories
Perhaps the finest, most well-designed site on the Web, you can search a database of Dolby Digital theatres, look through a list of upcoming Dolby Digital films, check out the Dolby digital laserdisc list, and download the popular Dolby Digital trailers.
Hollywood Online
An extensive site featuring movie and video guides, Hollywood news and gossip, and awhole library of photos, trailers, videos, sounds and interactive press kits.
Film.com
A site geared toward movie connoisseurs, Film.com offers reviews of current movies from a different angles, and has special features on lesser known films and filmmakers. This site also hosts film discussion forums.

Classical Net
This site has something for everyone interested in classical music to any degree. For the beginner, a classical CD buying guide and some accompanyng recommendations. For the more regular listener, a searchable CD index, information on composers, reviews and articles, and discussion groups.
Internet Underground Music Archive
One of the Web's older sites, this is the source for independent artists and their music. Download sound clips from artists from all over the world,or upload your own music. You can also take a look at some on-line music magazines while you're there, or check out some of the latest IUMA projects and experiments.
CDNow!
Search for music by artist, album, song or record label, then purchase on-line. You can also check out the current album charts and sales, or listen to audio clips of selected aritists.
Music Previews
Just click the genre of music you're interested in, and get a list of artists, albums and songs to listen to in Real Audio, .WAV or MPEG formats. You can also purchase certain selections on-line.
MTV
Just as colorful, flashy and overstated as the channel, MTV's website gives you the full transcript of the Week In Rock, other late-breaking news in the world of music, and the opportunity to download videos and cartoons. You can also get information on their Choose or Lose campaign.

Visit the homepage of the ticket selling superpower and buy ickets to concerts and other events on-line.

TV Guide Online
This site gives you access to TV Guide's listings, feature articles and selected standard sections, like soap Dish. You can also walk through the TV Guide covers gallery, enter the Chat Auditorium or look at the Video Top 10.
The Discovery Channel
Get a catalog of CD-Roms, information on shows and schedules, and e-mail reminders to update you when your favorite shows will be airing.

The Artwalker Project
This site offers you an opportunity to not only view fine art, but explore it. You "walk" through the art, choosing locations from around the world--including cities, landscapes and college campuses--and clicking through a series of paintings, water colors, or other mediums.
Mr. Showbiz
A truly interactive entertainment site, you can get all the latest news and reviews, ratings, and exclusive interviews. What's more, you can vote on-line in one of their various polls, use the Vocabulary Builder to sharpen your slng, and play a number of on-line games.
The Spot
Visit the Web's first on-line, rela life soap opera. Patterned after MTV's The Real World, The Spot is a house full of strangers who volunteered to live together and share their experiences with you, via videos and diaries. You can communicate with the people in the house through email.
