Saving Email Messages Email Composition Tip-You should always compose lengthy email messages while using Eudora Light in an
"Offline/Disconnected from the Internet" mode. Saving a Message
Saved messages are put in the Out mailbox with a bullet in the Status column. This indicates that the message has been saved and can be sent or queued for sending.You can continue making changes or close the message. If you try to close an outgoing message window without saving that version of the message, an alert is displayed asking if the message should be saved or the changes discarded. If you select Discard and the message has never been saved, the message is deleted.Differences Between Save and Save As When you select Save, your message is saved in the Out mailbox, and identified with a bullet as "Unsent" When you select Save As, you save the message as a text file on your computer. You may choose to do this if you want to reuse this message as a standard response.
1. Double click on your "Out" mailbox to open it. 2. Locate your Unsent message - indicated by a Bullet in the Status Box 3. Double click on your selected unsent message to open it. 4. Complete the message and Click on the Send Button. Troubleshooting If you have saved a message and it doesn't appear in the Out mailbox, you may have chosen Save As instead of Save. Use your computer's find utility to search for and find the message. Reusing a Message that has been saved as a text file To retrieve, finish, and send an email message an email message that has been saved as a text file: 1. From the File menu select Open Text File 2. Click on the Text File message you want to use, and Double Click on the Open Button 3. From the Edit Menu select Select All, then go to the Edit Menu again and select Copy. 4. From the File Menu select Close. 5. From the Message Menu select New Message. 6. From the Edit Menu select Paste. The Saved Text from your file will be pasted into your new message. 7.
