Eudora Light Setup:
After loading the Software from our CD-
Win 95/98 Installation
- After installing Netscape Communicator:
Click on the Internet Applications icon.
Click on the Eudora Light icon.
Reboot your computer after the installation is complete.
To Download Eudora Light Email from the Internet-
- On your hard drive- if one does not already exist
create a temporary directory i.e. - C:\TEMP
- Download the Eudora file from Qualcomm by clicking on
the appropriate link from our software
list.
Store the file in your Temporary directory.
Run the .EXE file you downloaded. (SETUP.EXE and other files will be installed in the
temporary directory)
Delete the .EXE file you downloaded.
Run the SETUP.EXE program that was installed in your temporary directory.
This program will install the Eudora software on your computer
Configuring Eudora Light-
- Open Eudora Light.
For Windows Users: From the Start Menu in the Eudora Light program group.
For Mac Users: From your hard disk.
- Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
- Click on the "Getting Started" icon on the
far left side of the dialog box.
- POP Account: Enter in your email address all
in lower case (i.e.- jsmith@silcon.com)
- Enter your real name: Enter it as you want it
to appear in your email headers.
- Enter your return address: Enter your
complete Email Address- all in lower case (i.e.- jsmith@silcon.com) or if you want your
replies to be sent to another email address enter it (i.e. jsmith@workaddress.com)
- Connection method: Winsock (PPP, SLIP)
- Click on Hosts.
- POP Account: Enter in your email address all
in lower case (i.e.- jmith@silcon.com)
- SMTP server: Enter mail.silcon.com
- Click on Checking Mail.
- Leave on Server: Make sure this is not
checked.
- Press the OK button.
- Exit Eudora Light.
- Reopen Eudora Light, and you are ready to use it as
your email client.
