Current System Status

Please note that your mail server settings should be as follows:

Outbound (SMTP) Server: smtp.silcon.com

Incoming (POP3) Server: pop.silcon.com

You may also use mail.silcon.com, however it is better to use the separate smtp.silcon.com and pop.silcon.com names.

If you are trying to access your shell account, a new shell server, shell.silcon.com has been setup.  You must use the SSH (Secure Shell) protocol for accessing shell.silcon.com.  Telnet connections are not permitted. Connections to silcon.silcon.com or silcon.com are no longer permitted.

If you are trying to access your personal web page, you must use the URL http://users.silcon.com/~username.  The URL http://silcon.com/~username is no longer functional.  If you are trying to upload files to your personal web page using FTP, you will need to FTP to the hostname users.silcon.com.  You can no longer use silcon.com or silcon.silcon.com as the hostname.
