Account Management

SilCon's Account Management Center allows you to make changes to your account quickly and easily through the web.  The Center's new services include:

  • Additional e-mail features such as forwarding, vacation messages and spam options.

  • The ability to change your password

How do I log on to SC's Account Management Center?
  • Enter http://www.silcon.com/accounts in the "Location" line of Netscape Navigator or the "Address" line of Internet Explorer.
    • Enter your user name in the Login entry box
    • If your email address is johndoe@silcon.com, the username you will enter is johndoe (lower case)
    • Enter your password in the Password entry box.
    • Remember all passwords entries are case specific.
    • You must click on the Log On button to complete the entry.

  • You will be taken to http://www.silcon.com/accounts/WelcomeForm.asp

How do I set-up SC's SPAMScan anti-spam filtering service? 

  • Select one of the 3 SPAMScan options by clicking on the indicator circle:

  • Turn on automatic Anti-Spam Filtering Service by clicking on your chosen filtering option indicator box.
  • Click on the Submit Changes to begin the Anti-Spam Filtering of your email.
  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and the filtering of your email should begin within 60 seconds.

  • To Stop the automatic Anti-Spam filtering of your email:
  • After logging on to our Account Management Center,  
    • In the Email Options column click on SPAMScan.
      Review your enabled options and use the following directions:
  • Tag Only Option - Delete or Change any Mail Filtering Rules you have created in your desktop Email Software.  This is the default option for all SC mail and remains turned on for you to use at your discretion with your desktop Email Software.  For additional information, please refer to our About Email Filtering Rules page.
  • Move to Spam Folder Option - Turn off this by clicking off the Move to Spam Folder indicator box.  The default Tag Only Option will remain and at your discretion you can begin using the Tag Only function to establish Mail filtering rules in your desktop Email Software. For additional information, please refer to our About Email Filtering Rules page.
  • Delete Option - Turn off this by clicking off the Delete indicator box.
  • Click on the Submit Changes to Stop the Moving of mail to your Spam Folder or Deleting of your email.
  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and the folder movement or deletion of your email should stop within 60 seconds.

 

How do I use SC's Mail Forwarding Service?

  • Turn on automatic Email Forwarding by clicking on Enable Mail Forwarding indicator box.
  • If you want to automatically keep a copy of the forwarded message in your SC mailbox, click on the following indicator box:
    •  Keep a copy of the email in your local SC mailbox as well as forward to the below address. 
  • Enter the email address you wish to have your email forwarded to.  

Note- If you have enabled SC SPAMScan to delete or move spam mail messages to a WebMail Spam folder, then the "spam messages" will not be forwarded to the address you have entered.

  • Click on the Continue Button to begin the forwarding of your email.

  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and the forwarding of your email should begin within 60 seconds.

  • To Stop the automatic forwarding of your email to another address:
  • After logging on to our Account Management Center,  
  • Turn off Email Forwarding by clicking off the Enable Mail Forwarding indicator box.
  • Click on the Continue Button to stop the forwarding of your email.
  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and the forwarding of your email to the alternative address should stop within 60 seconds.

 


How do I use SC's Away/Vacation Notice Service?
  • After logging on to our Account Management Center,  

     

  • Turn on your Away/Vacation by clicking on Enable Vacation Message indicator box.
  • Accept your default SC email address or enter an alternative email address for these replies. 
  • Accept your default SC account name or enter your name as you would like it to appear on the From line for these replies.
  • Accept the default "I am away from my email" subject line or enter an alternative one that you would like to appear for these replies.
  • Accept the default "I am currently away from my email" message body or add to this line or enter an alternative email message you wish to send as a reply to all .  

Note- If you have enabled SC SPAMScan to delete or move spam mail messages to a WebMail Spam folder, then these "spam messages" will not be responded to with your vacation message.

  • Click on the Continue Button to begin sending automatic "Away/Vacation" replies to emails received while you are on vacation.

 

  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and the sending of Away/Vacation replies to your email should begin within 60 seconds.

  • To Stop the sending of automatic "Away/Vacation" replies to emails received while you were on vacation:
  • After logging on to our Account Management Center,  
  • Turn off "Away/Vacation" replies  by clicking off the Enable Vacation Message indicator box.
  • Click on the Continue Button to stop the automatic response replies to your email.
  • After clicking on the Continue Button, you will receive a Confirmation Page and your Away/Vacation Messages should stop being sent within 60 seconds.
